MP from Wasat Alliance: we did not nominate Saadoun Al Dulaimi, still, we do not object to him
Baghdad (NINA) - MP from Wasat Alliance, Walid Abboud Al Mohammadi, said "the alliance did not nominate Saadoun Al Dulaimi for the defense minister post, but, his choice came according to the consensus of the political blocs and we have no objection to it."
He said in a press statement today "we, as the Wasat Alliance, have worked with Al Dulaimi, and he has experience in the Ministry of Defense and we know he is personally worthy of the position of defense minister and he is able to manage the ministry."
He continued "we have received names of the security ministers and their CVs, that we are studying now," noting that the security ministries are not subject to the points system, which was applied in the other ministries choices, it just depends on agreement among the political blocs.”
With regard to the Ministry of Culture, Mohammadi said "it is the Wasat Alliance share and this share is not related to the security ministries because they are outside the points system, and talking about (who) will succeed Dulaimi is too early.”
