Supervisory Committee for Central Municipal Council's Elections Organizes Symposium

Doha, May 07 (QNA) - The Supervisory Committee on the Executive Committees of the fourth Central Municipal Council's (CMC) elections held today at the Intercontinental Hotel, a symposium on the 'procedures on the polling day'.
The symposium was held to prepare for on the ballot next Tuesday, and to familiarize the heads and members with the electoral rules and procedures for work that day, in which (102) candidates, including four women, will compete to occupy the Council's twenty-nine seats for the next four years.
The Seminar was attended by Col. Ahmed Abdullah Al Jamal, Director of the Financial Affairs Department at the Supply and Processing Committee, and Lt. Col. Abdurrahman Majid Al-Sulaiti, Director of Strategic Planning Department and member of the Elections Supervising Committee, Colonel Salem Saqr Al- Meraikhi Assistant Director of Legal Affairs Department and Head of the Elections Legal Committee, Colonel Abdurrahman al-Maliki, Assistant Director of Information Systems and Chairman of the Elections Technical Committee and Lt. Col. Mohammad Majid Al Sulaiti, Assistant Director of the Public Relations and Information Committee and Head of the Elections Information Committee at the Interior Ministry. It was also attended by all heads and members of electoral commissions.(QNA)
