Minister of Environment Hails Democratic Practice in Qatar

Doha, May 10 (QNA) - HE Qatar's Minister of Environment Abdullah bin Mubarak bin Aboud al-Meadadi has lauded the pioneer democratic experience in the State of Qatar under the wise leadership of HH the Emir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani.
The State of Qatar, under its wise leadership, has accomplished great achievements in all political, economic and social domains, and an unprecedented development at all levels thanks to perseverance and proper planning, HE the Environment Minister said in statements to Qatar News Agency (QNA) on the occasion of holding the fourth session of the Central Municipal Council elections, kicked off in Doha Tuesday morning.
HE the Minister congratulated the Qatari people on this significant national occasion, and urged all citizens to cast their ballots to elect the best candidates whom they trust can fulfill their aspirations in good living and development.
Polling centers opened for Qatari voters at 8:am Tuesday to elect their representatives in the Central Municipal Council.
Some 32,662 voters will cast their ballots to elect the 29 members of the Central Municipal Council amid from 101 candidates.
