Al Mahmoud Reaffirms Qatar's Support to Libyan National Council

Doha, May 11 (QNA) - HE Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Ahmed Bin Abdullah Al Mahmoud said that the Emir of the State of Qatar, its government and people stand by the Libyan people and its legitimate representative national transitional council.
   In a speech HE the Minister of State for Foreign Affairs gave today before a meeting of Libyan local councils at Ritz-Carlton, Al Mahmoud conveyed the greetings of HH the Emir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, and HH the Heir Apparent Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, and the Qatari people to the Libyan people.
He welcomed members of Libyan local councils taking part in the meeting which he said was an important step to the next gathering in the city of Benghazi. This, he said, reflects "your determination and keenness to protect and liberate your homeland."
   He went on to say that Qatar were ready to provide everything needed.
