Iran overpowers India in Asia Pacific deaf football
Iran had a good start in the 2nd Asia Pacific Deaf Football Championships on Sunday.
The Iranian side beat India 14-0 in its opening match in Group B. Thailand defeated Australia 2-0 in the same group.
In Group A, host South Korea overpowered Uzbekistan 6 -0 and Japan and Iraq played out a goalless draw.
The event is underway in Changwon City, South Korea and will finish on May 25.
The 10 teams have been divided into two groups of five. The best five teams will qualify for the 2012 World Deaf Football Championships which will be held in Ankara, Turkey from July 10-21.
