Doha to Host Workshop on Combating Terrorism

Doha, May 16 (QNA) - The Qatar National Committee to Combat Terrorism will held Tuesday a Workshop on Security Council resolutions related to combating terrorism and its implementation mechanisms in cooperation with United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime.
The aim of the workshop held under the auspices of HE Minister of State for Internal Affairs Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa Al Thani who is also the President of the National Committee to Combat Terrorism, to familiarize participants with the relevant Security Council resolutions relating to combating terrorism and the implementation mechanisms.
The workshop which will last for two days will take a look on overview of the strategy of the United Nations Global Counter-terrorism and other topics on its agenda.
The workshop is on the framework and efforts of the State of Qatar in its fight against terrorism.
Doha hosted the first workshop with UN in 2007, the year of establishing The Qatar National Committee to Combat Terrorism.(QNA)
