‘Iran calls for implementation of security pacts with Pakistan’
TEHRAN, May 17 (MNA) – Iranian Deputy Interior Minister Ali Abdollahin has called for an orderly and complete implementation of security pacts between Tehran and Islamabad.
Abdollahi, who has traveled to Pakistan, made the remarks in a meeting with Pakistani Interior Minister Rahman Malik in Islamabad late Sunday.
The two sides also discussed various issues including campaign against terrorism, narcotics, human trafficking, and organized crimes as well as improving border guarding system.
Also, it was decided that a meeting of the Pakistan-Iran security committee, which will be chaired by the two countries’ deputy interior ministers for security affairs, to be held in Tehran in the near future.
