Qatar Supports Joint Arab Action - Ambassador


Cairo, May 16 (QNA) - HE Qatar's Ambassador to Egypt and its Permanent Deleagte to the Arab League Saleh bin Abdullah Al Buainain has stressed the depth of Egyptian-Qatari ties .. He pointed out that the decision of Qatar to withdraw its candidate for the post of Secretary General of the Arab League for the Egypt's candidate Foreign Minster Dr. Nabil al Araby yesterday during the Arab Foreign Ministers Extraordinary Meeting, reflected Qatar's supportive position for the Revolution of January 25 and the joint Arab action.
HE Ambassador Al Buainain said in a statement here today that Dr. Nabil al-Araby, who was chosen as new Secretary General of the Arab League to succeed Amr Moussa, has all qualifications for this position as he is a veteran diplomat , and aformer international judge.
He expressed confidence that Dr. Nabil Araby can lead the joint Arab action during this critical stage to achieve the best results that meet the aspirations of Arab peoples, who are currently moving towards freedom and reform. He said that Egypt's nomination of Dr. Nabil Araby to this position was optimal and right.
On the coordination meeting, which was held between HE the Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Hamad bin Jassim bin Jabor Al-Thani, and Egyptian Foreign Minister Dr. Nabil al Araby and Egyptian ahead of the Arab Ministerial Meeting, HE Ambassador al Buainain said: "Such consultation meetings is a healthy phenomenon and always lead to positive results."
On Qatar position towards the signing of a reconciliation agreement between the Palestinian factions in Cairo under the auspices of Egypt, HE Buainain said the signing of the agreement is a good and very important step that all Arab countries, without exception were waiting for it as the Palestinian question basically is the Arab first cause .. He noted that Qatar is among countries that support such moves and that Qatar was represented and present at the signing ceremony.
HE Ambasador al Buainain said that the next stage will witness a qualitative leap in relations between Qatar and Egypt in all fields particularly in economic sector where several economic and strategic agreements will be signed, based on mutual understanding in many issues .
He said that a Qatari high-level delegation including businessmen, and heads of the largest Qatari companies such as Diar, Barwa and Hassad, headed by HE Minister of State for International Cooperation Dr. Khalid bin Mohammed Al-Attiyah will soon visit Egypt for talks with Egyptian officials to agree on a number of investment projects in Egypt, and the signing of several agreements to pump more Qatari capital in the Egyptian market, which will lead to the creation of new jobs and expand the cooperation between the two sides.
