Indian company obtains copyright of 100 Iranian children’s books

TEHRAN, May 17 (MNA) -- The Xact Group, an leading Indian book company in printing services and rights selling, now owns the copyrights of 100 Iranian children’s books for publication in 30 countries.

In an interview with the Persian service of Mehr News Agency, the marketing director of the company Mohinder Sahni announced that they have transferred the copyrights during the 24th Tehran International Book Fair.

The company obtained the copyrights for 100 children books released by seven Iranian publishers to distribute in member countries of the company including India, Poland, U.S.A., Britain, Turkey and Spain.

She said that the Iranian Eve Literary Agency bridged between the company, its members and the Iranian publishers.

She went on to say that during this their first time participating at the Tehran International Book Fair, they offered 5000 foreign books for copyright transfer.

Sahni compared Tehran International Book Fair with other world-renowned book fairs like Frankfurt and Bologna saying that it is more crowded and larger than other book fairs however, in her view the quality of the books should be improved for global distribution.
