Iran FM to visit Kuwait Wednesday
TEHRAN, May 17 (MNA) – Iranian Foreign Minister Ali Akbar Salehi is scheduled to travel to Kuwait on Wednesday, Foreign Ministry spokesperson Ramin Mehmanparast announced on Tuesday.
Salehi has so far visited Oman, Qatar, and the UAE.
“Mr. Salehi’s travel will be made in line with the activities of Iran’s foreign policy apparatus, which are aimed at holding consultations (with regional officials) on developments in the region as well as bilateral issues,” Mehmanparast stated.
The pr-democracy protests in Bahrain and the deployment of foreign forces in the country are expected to feature highly in Salehi’s talks with Kuwaiti officials.
