Doha to Host Sixth Meeting of Arab Network for Autism

Doha , May 17 (QNA) - Shafallah Center announced on Tuesday that it will host the Sixth meeting of the Arab Network for Autism (ANA) which will be held tomorrow, Wednesday and Thursday at the Intercontinental Doha Hotel.
First on the schedule is a workshop on the strategy, presented by Deputy Director of the Shafallah Centre Samira Al Qasimi.
The meeting aims for the transfer of expertise and raising awareness in all member countries to everything related to Autism. ANA aims to support the needs of those suffering from Autism and raise awareness about the disorder.
ANA also encourages scientific research related to Autism and coordinates with different scientific institutions. The network contributes to making the latest research developments about the disease available in Arabic.
UNESCO Regional Bureau for Education in the Arab States, Beirut launched the "Arab Autism Network" in collaboration with the Lebanese Autism Society (LAS) during the Second Arab Regional Conference for Autism held in 2008 in Beirut. The Network includes 15 Arab countries. (QNA)
