Qatar Petrochemical Wins Awards for Qatarization
Doha, May 19 (QNA) - Qatar Petrochemical Company (QAPCO) has two awards for the second consecutive year for implementing the policy of Qatarization.
QAPCO won the Crystal trophy for 'Support and Liaison with the Educational Sector' and a Certificate for 'Support for Training & Development', the company said in a media statement.
HE Minister of Energy and Industry, Chairman and Managing Director Qatar Petroleum, Dr Mohammed bin Saleh Al Sada presented the awards at the Energy and Industry sectors' 11th Annual Qatarization Review held here earlier this week.

It has been our earnest endeavour to ensure that Qatari nationals with appropriate qualifications are recruited for employment in the company. The award has not come as a result of luck, but as a consequence of a well-planned strategy that aims to attract qualified national expertise who receive highly advanced training in order to be able to lead Qatar's development, he said.
Dr. Mulla defined Qatarization as the identification and development of qualified and competent Qatari men and women to assume permanent positions in our industry.
"Our objective is quality Qatarization. It is based on performance and competence rather than time; and should be balanced with operational requirements to ensure a smooth work.
