Qatar Development Fund Board Meets

Doha, May 19 (QNA) - The Board of Directors of Qatar development Fund (QDF) met here on Thursday under its Chairman HE Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Ahmed bin Abdullah Al Mahmoud.
During the meeting , the board members reviewed all procedures that should be adopted to carry out the QDF's targets. It also discussed the QDF's draft strategy and the sectorial and geographic fields of such a strategy.(QNA)
HH the Emir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa al-Thani issued Emiri decision No. 7 of 2010 forming the Board of Directors of Qatar Development Fund. While according to law No. 19 of 2002 Qatar Development Fund was established as a Cabinet-affiliated foundation. It aims to assist Arab and other developing countries to develop their economies and implement their development programmes, including the provision of loans, grants and technical assistance to those states or legal persons belonging to them or carrying their nationalities, and to contribute to the capital of legal persons and financial institutions of developmental nature.(QNA)
