Iran Navy saves Maltese ship from pirate attack
TEHRAN, May 22 (MNA) – The Iranian Navy has thwarted pirates’ attempts to hijack a Maltese vessel, named Dandle, in the international waters, Deputy Navy Commander Gholamreza Khadem Beighom said on Saturday.
The vessel was sailing toward Iran when it was attacked by four pirate speedboats near Omani coasts. This is the tenth clash between pirates and Iranian navy troops over the past two months.
