Iranian-Canadian film to compete in Toronto festival
TEHRAN, May 23 (MNA) -- “Bright Side of the Moon”, a joint Iranian-Canadian production will hopefully find its way into the 36th Toronto International Film Festival that will run from September 8-18.
Directed by Farhad Ahi, the film is currently in the production stage and will feature the story of two Iranian immigrants named Behzad and Parisa. The couple wins a large sum of money in a lottery. Parisa gets kidnapped and she must cross over a frozen lake to save her life.
Produced by Yadollah Shahbazi, this is the second film by Make a Movie Productions Company. The other cast and crew members are both Iranian and Canadian nationalities.
