In 2003, the initiative was launched to bear the name of the late Sheikh Zayed. Over 30, 000 volunteers took part to form the biggest human block in three sessions to reflect the group voluntary work spirit. They formed UAE and World maps, as well as heart image to boost voluntary work.
Treatment of heart patients comes in line with care of Sheikh Hamdan to activate curative and preventive programmes. A number of medical teams, including mobile heart centre, takes part in diagnosing and prescribing medicines to patients.
Through partnerships with notable world training centres, thousands of doctors have been trained in many countries. Conferences and workshops have been held in cooperation with Cleveland Hospital, American and Canadian College for Emergency and other Think Tank organisations.
To further inculcate culture of charity at public institutions, the Zayed initiative launched the national programme for social responsibility 'Masouliya' with strategic partnership with the Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
