S. Korea's Hize Aero wins US$6 mln deal from Boeing

SEOUL, May 26 (Yonhap) -- Hize Aero Co. Ltd., a South Korean airframe and parts manufacturer, has signed a US$6 million deal with Boeing Co., becoming the country's first small business to directly supply products to the U.S. aviation giant, a local trade agency said Thursday.
Under the deal signed in Los Angeles on Wednesday (U.S. time), Hize Aero will supply repair parts for 250 Boeing 747, 757 and 767 airplanes, according to the Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency (KOTRA).
"Hize Aero is South Korea's first small- and medium-sized company to sign a direct supply deal with a multinational aviation company," KOTRA said in a press release. "The first deal is worth $6 million, but second and third deals are certain to follow."
Established in 1999, Hize Aero is an airframe integrator that also provides parts and services for various airplane parts, including fuselage and wing structures.
