Female S. Korean student found dead at Philippine hotel

SEOUL, May 27 (Yonhap) -- A South Korean student in the Philippines was found dead this week at a Manila hotel with what were believed to be gunshot wounds, South Korea's Foreign Ministry said Friday. The body of the 22-year-old, identified only by her surname Kim, was found Tuesday, along with the body of her Philippine boyfriend, which also appeared to have gunshot wounds. The South Korean embassy has requested a swift and thorough investigation by the Philippine police, according to a ministry official. "There were no signs of intrusion into the couple's hotel room, but the local police are investigating the case with all possibilities open," the official said.
