Iranians win two gold medals in Asian Grand Prix Series 2011
TEHRAN, May 28 (MNA) -- Iran’s Sajad Moradi and Sajad Hashemi claimed the gold medals of the Asian Grand Prix Series 2011on Thursday.
Sajad Moradi claimed the Men's 800 meters gold with a time of 1:47.95 minutes. Indian Ram Ghamanda won the silver with a time of 1:48.17 seconds.
Sajad Hashemi also won the gold in the Men’s 400 meters with a time of 46.76 seconds. Jianxin Chen from China finished at the second place with a time of 46.84 seconds.
Iran’s Mahmoud Samimi snatched the silver medal in the Men’s Discus Throw with a throw of 62.29 meters. Jian Wu from China won the gold with a threw of 62.56 meters.
Mohammad Samimi claimed bronze medal in the event with a throw of 62.03 meters.
And finally, Rohollah Asgari claimed the silver in the Men's 110m Hurdles with a time of 13.85 seconds. Fan Jiang from China claimed the gold with a time of 13.55 seconds.
The first and second legs held in Jiaxing and Kunshan in China respectively. The third and last leg will be held in Wujiang on May 29.
