Samsung C&T wins US$171.9 mln order from Singapore
SEOUL, May 30 (Yonhap) -- Samsung C&T Corp., a South Korean trading and construction company, said Monday it has clinched a US$171.9 million deal to build a subway section in downtown Singapore.
Under the deal with Singapore's Land Transport Authority, Samsung C&T will complete a 430-meter section of the 21-kilometer subway system and a subway station in the section by December 2016, the company said.
The South Korean builder will start work on the project in June, the company said.
Samsung C&T set up its Singaporean office in 1991.
