Iran's Majlis committee says president cannot be caretaker oil minister
TEHRAN, May 31 (MNA) -- The Majlis Energy Committee has determined that the Iranian president was not authorized to nominate himself to be the caretaker oil minister, MP Emad Hosseini, the rapporteur of the committee, said on Monday.
The eleven lawmakers sitting on the committee reviewed the issue on Sunday, Hosseini said, adding that the case will be referred to the Judiciary if the entire parliament decides that the president was not authorized to make such a move.
