Tehran to host intl. conference on Islamic awakening

TEHRAN, May 31 (MNA) -- A conference entitled “Imam Khomeini, Islamic awakening, and regional developments” will be held in Tehran on the 22nd death anniversary of the late Imam Khomeini, the Founder of the Islamic Republic, on June 3.

More than 300 scholars and journalists from Asia, Europe, and Africa will participate in the conference.

The conference is organized by the Headquarters to Commemorate Imam Khomeini Demise Anniversary.

The participants of the conference are scheduled to pay a visit to the mausoleum of the late Imam Khomeini and hold talks with Hassan Khomeini, the grandson of Imam Khomeini.

They will also meet with a number of other Iranian officials and will visit a number of religious and cultural sites in Tehran.
