Al-Mahmoud: Participants in Darfur Stakeholders' Conference Back Doha Document on Darfur Peace
Doha, May 30 (QNA) - HE Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Ahmed Bin Abdullah Al Mahmoud, said that all participants in the Expanded Darfur Stakeholders' Conference have unanimously agreed in Doha to support the Doha Document on Darfur peace as a basis for lasting and comprehensive peace in Darfur.
HE the Minister noted in a joint news conference along with UN-AU joint mediator Djibril Bassole this evening at Ritz-Carlton that these supportive positions for Doha document on Darfur Peace were further stressed on today during the joint meeting of the Arab-African ministerial committee on Darfur and the mediation of the Darfur Peace as well as the special envoys of the permanent members states and the European Union for Sudan, in addition to the general meeting of Darfur Stakeholders, which was held today with the participation of delegations from the Sudanese government and the Liberation and Justice Movement (LJM), the Justice and Equality Movement (EJM), and the civil society, and the displaced , refugees and nomads.
