Another S. Korean confirmed dead in Japan quake

SEOUL, May 31 (Yonhap) -- A South Korean woman has been confirmed dead in Japan's devastating earthquake and tsunami, Seoul's foreign ministry said Tuesday, bringing South Korea's death toll to seven. The 78-year-old woman, who was identified only by her surname Im, was found dead at her home in Miyagi Prefecture last week, the ministry said in a press release. Miyagi police notified the South Korean consulate general in the prefecture's capital city of Sendai on Monday, it added. Miyagi was one of several regions in northeastern Japan that were hit hardest by the March 11 disaster.
