HH the Emir Opens Ras Girtas Power Plant
Doha (QNA) - HH the Emir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani patronized on Tuesday the opening ceremony of 'Ras Girtas Power Plant' in Ras Laffan Industrial City.
The ceremony was attended by HE Deputy Prime Minister and Chief of the Emiri Diwan Abdullah bin Hamad Al Attiyah, HE the Speaker of the Advisory Council, a number of Their Excellencies the Sheikhs and Ministers and guests.
The ceremony began with recitation of verses from the holy Quran, screening of a documentary film about the plant and a presentation on electricity and water.
HH the Emir then launched the plant and toured it during which he listened to a briefing on its most important facilities.
At the end of the ceremony, HH the Emir attended a luncheon banquet held on the occasion.
