Hyundai Mipo wins 201 bln won order for five ships
SEOUL, June 3 (Yonhap) -- Hyundai Mipo Dockyard Co., a South Korean shipbuilder, said Friday that it has won a 201 billion won (US$187 million) deal to build five chemical carriers.
Under the deal with a European customer, Hyundai Mipo will deliver the vessels by November 2012, the company said in a regulatory filing. The shipbuilder did not reveal the name of the buyer.
Hyundai Mipo is an affiliate of Hyundai Heavy Industries Co., the world's leading shipyard.
Shares of Hyundai Mipo were trading at 186,500 won on the Seoul bourse as of 10:30 a.m., up 1.36 percent.
