Doha Hosts Constituent Meeting for GCC Pharmaceutical Manufacturers Tomorrow
Doha, June 08 (QNA) - The first preparatory constituent meeting for the GCC Union for Manufacturers of Pharmaceutical Industries is to be held in Doha on Thursday.The meeting is organized by the Doha-based Gulf Organization for Industrial Consulting (GOIC).
Participants in the meeting will discuss the GOIC proposal for the foundation of the GCC Pharmaceutical Manufacturers, the appointment of the Executive Secretariat proposed by the participants, and the proposed budget of the GCC Union for Manufacturers of Pharmaceutical Industries for the first year, in addition to electing the temporary Board of Directors and approving the program of work until the declaration of the Union.
Discussions during the meeting will also cover the Union's goals and vision, in addition to the terms of accession to the Union. Representatives of more than 46 drug factories in the GCC countries and about 100 pharmaceutical distribution companies will take part in the meeting.
The meeting comes on the recommendations of the first Coordination Meeting for the Manufacturers of the Pharmaceutical Industry in the GCC States, which GOIC held last April.
