STX's European unit wins vessel order from Ireland

SEOUL, June 10 (Yonhap) -- STX OSV Holdings Ltd., a European unit of South Korean shipbuilding conglomerate STX Group, has signed a deal worth 150 billion won (US$139 million) to build two platform supply vessels, the group said Friday.
Under the deal with Island Offshore, a Norwegian shipping company, STX OSV will deliver the vessels starting from 2013, STX Group said.
The vessels will be used to transport goods and equipment to and from offshore facilities, it said.
STX OSV has order backlogs of 58 vessels, including the latest order, the group said.
