Environment Agency - Abu Dhabi signs agreement with Sorouh to develop 'Green Your Life' feature

Abu Dhabi, Sept 10, 2008 (WAM) - The Environment Agency - Abu Dhabi (EAD) has signed an agreement with Sorouh, one of the UAE's leading property companies, to develop a new feature on EAD's corporate website (http://www.ead.ae).

The feature, called Green Your Life, will be a 3D virtual home tour providing practical tips to the community to conserve water, energy and reduce waste around their own home.

According to the agreement, EAD will be providing all content while Sorouh will be designing and developing advanced animated graphics and the 3D virtual tour. As website visitors browse over the different areas of the virtual home, the information, statistics, and tips will appear. For example, by clicking on the dishwasher in the kitchen, website users will be able to see practical tips on how to use this device effectively without wasting water and energy. The new feature will be launched in December 2008.

The agreement was signed between Laila Y. Al Hassan, Deputy Manager, Media at EAD and Masood Al Awar, Chief Sales and Marketing Officer Sorouh Real Estate PJSC.

'The main objective behind adding the Green Your Life feature to our corporate website is to demonstrate to members of the community how small behavior changes within their own home can make a big difference in our environment. Thanks to Sorouh, we will now be able to bring practical and localized tips to the community through a unique animated 3D virtual home tour,' said Laila Al Hassan, Deputy Manager, Media at EAD.

Masood Al Awar, Chief Sales and Marketing Officer, Sorouh Real Estate PJSC said: 'Energy conservation is just one way we can assist in protecting the environment. This agreement with EAD will provide a useful online tool for people who want to learn more about energy management for their homes.

''We all have a role to play in protecting Abu Dhabi's current and future environment and Sorouh is very proud to be partnering with the EAD on this innovative development, as we seek to create sustainable communities for all residents,'' he added.
