Khazaal found guilty over terrorist book

Sydney man Belal Sadallah Khazaal has been found guilty of producing a book knowing it was connected with assisting in a terrorist act.
But the NSW Supreme Court jury will resume deliberations on Wednesday on a second
terrorism-related charge.
The jurors retired on Monday to consider their verdicts and found him guilty of the
first charge, on Wednesday.
Khazaal, 38, of Lakemba in Sydney's southwest, had pleaded not guilty to making a
document connected with assistance in a terrorist act knowing of that connection,
between September 20 and 23, 2003.
He also denies the second charge of attempting to urge others to commit a terrorist
act, between September 22 and October 8, 2003.
Both charges relate to a 110-page book - titled Provisions on the Rules of Jihad.
The trial, before Justice Megan Latham, began almost four weeks ago.
