Seoul shares down 0.13 pct in late-morning trade

South Korean stocks traded 0.13 percent lower late Wednesday morning, weighed down by falls in steel and tech heavyweights, analysts said.

Top steelmaker POSCO fell nearly 2 percent and market bellwether Samsung Electronics slipped around 1 percent.
Retailers were mixed. Department store giant Lotte Shopping lost almost 3 percent, but leading discount chain operator E-Mart jumped nearly 9 percent.
