SJC Launches New Legal Encyclopedias

Doha, June 14 (QNA) - The Supreme Judicial Council (SJC) on Tuesday launched on its website two new specialized legal encyclopedias. The first encyclopedia includes Qatari legislations, judgments and sentences made by Appellate jurisdiction, while the second exposes the jurisprudence elaborated by American, English and French courts.
A part of this encyclopedia is dedicated for a number of main decisions taken by the French Court of Cassation, the main court of last resort in France, the Council of State and the Constitutional Council in both Arabic and French .
Speaking on the occasion, SJC President, Masud Mohammad Al Amiri said this launching reflects the Council's keenness to provide a broad range of technical capabilities that would enable judges to keep up with the latest technologies and overcome all the obstacles or difficulties on a daily basis.
He praised the great effort made by the team members led by the Court of Appeal's Ahmed Mansour Al Qadhi. (QNA)
