UZBEK PRESIDENT VISITS ALLEY OF HONORS IN BAKU
Baku,12 September,(AzerTAj) - President of Uzbekistan Islam Karimov visited Friday the Alley of Honors to lay a wreath at the tomb of Azerbaijan`s nationwide leader Heydar Aliyev on the last day of his trip to the country.
He also put flowers at the grave of prominent ophthalmologist, academician Zarifa
Aliyeva.
Afterwards, the Uzbek President visited the Alley of Martyrs to pay respect to
Azerbaijan`s brave sons who died for independence and territorial integrity of the
country.
He also put a wreath at the Eternal Fire monument.
The Uzbek President was accompanied by Azerbaijan`s Deputy Foreign Minister Khalaf
Khalafov and Baku Mayor Hajibala Abutalybov and other officials.
