MITI READY TO ANSWER INVESTORS QUERIES ON POLITICAL STABILITY
KUALA LUMPUR, July 13 (Bernama) -- The International Trade and Industry
Ministry (MITI) is set to answer queries from prospective investors on
Malaysia's political stability.
Its Deputy Minister, Mukhriz Mahathir, said MITI was now compiling
details on other countries' perspective of Malaysia after the July 9 rallies.
"The rallies were only held for one day but to restore the image and for
potential investors to regain their confidence will take months," he told
reporters after a recognition ceremony for host sponsors and partners for the
SIFE World Cup 2011 here Wednesday.
Mukhriz said the illegal rallies had slightly dented Malaysia's image as a
safe and politically stable nation.
"We have slightly lost the confidence of potential investors, but, we think
the impact is not very bad," he said.
