FIRST INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE ON SEARCH AND RESCUE
KUALA LUMPUR, July 14 (Bernama) -- The inaugural three-day International Search and Rescue Conference and Exhibition (ISAR) is scheduled to be held here, beginning July 27.
The event, organised by Global SAR Resources Sdn Bhd, will play host to eminent experts from Malaysia, Singapore, Cambodia, India, Indonesia and New Zealand.
The conference is supported by the Malaysian Maritime Enforcement Agency (MMEA) and the Malaysia Convention & Exhibition Bureau.
According to a statement Thursday, the conference was aimed at providing a much-needed platform for networking and learning on the latest technology and know-how within search and rescue operations and beyond.
The keynote address will be delivered by MMEA director-general Admiral (Maritime) Mohd Amdan Kurish.
Besides presentation by international speakers, the first two days of the conference will also see Malaysia’s experts presenting exceptional papers in the field of search and rescue operations.
The third day will see dedicated ISAR capability demonstration, which will be conducted by MMEA using its assets.
