Chinese businessmen eye on electrical appliance market in Laos

(KPL) Laos and China discussed a possible establishment of electrical appliance and cyber-market in Laos to distribute the electrical appliance.
The statement was made at a meeting between Lao and Guangxi province (China) businesspeople organized here on 11 September, by the National Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Embassy of China to Laos.
The meeting drew Head of Lao-Chinese Cooperation Commission, Mr Kham-ai Vannachak, and Consultant of Chinese Economic Attaché to Laos, Mr Chen Han Gao and other businesspeople from different companies.
The objective was to exchange lesson on business sectors to seek joint venture, survey the cyber-market for distributing in Laos and strengthen the cooperation between Lao and Chinese businesspeople.
The five leading Chinese private companies from Guangxi province have proposed to import the electronic appliances distribute in Laos including electrical weighing scale, computers, television, radio, satellites, signal transmission, mobile phone.
All products from Quangxi province are directly available for sell in Laos, which local people can buy inexpensive goods.
Last year, the trade between Laos and China reached US$2.8 billion and increased by 15 percent.
Starting from February to July this year, the trade between Laos and China was worth US$1.6 million, which the main products import was the telecommunication and electronic appliances.
