ADOPT HEALTHY LIFESTYLE TO COUNTER UNPREDICTABLE WEATHER

PETALING JAYA (Selangor, Malaysia), July 14 (Bernama) -- The public is advised to adopt a healthy lifestyle to maintain good health to counter unpredictable weather for the next three months.

Health Minister Liow Tiong Lai said the weather would be unpredictable with sudden rain and heat wave between the months of July and September, compounded by the haze enveloping the country at the moment.

"I urge everyone to take care of their health, wear face masks and drink plenty of water," he said.

He was speaking to reporters on the sidelienes of the Ninth Liver Update - Hepatobiliary Medicine - Charting The Course conference at Sunway Resort Hotel and Spa organised by the Malaysian Liver Foundation here Thursday.

Liow also said discussions were underway with the Indonesian government on efforts to reduce the rampant open burning there.

The Department of Environment (DOE) Air Pollutant Index (API) at 7am this morning recorded 23 areas as good, 29 moderate and no unhealthy areas.
