MALAYSIA-FRANCE RELATIONSHIP GETTING STRONGER - FRENCH AMBASADOR

KUALA LUMPUR, July 15 (Bernama) -- The visit of Prime Minister Najib Razak to France in 2009 has paved the ways for stronger bonding in Malaysia-France bilateral relationship, said France's ambassador to Malaysia Marc Barety.

He said the country was looking forward to improve the partnership in many ways especially since the visit of Najib to France.

"Even now, our relationship is absolutely getting stronger with many major steps taken following the visit of Najib Razak to France in 2009, which was really a breakthrough and since the visit, we had two France ministers visiting Malaysia.

"We also are having France's Transport Minister coming here to Malaysia next week," he told Bernama at France's National Day celebration here Thursday.

Also attending the celebration were Tourism Minister Dr Ng Yen Yen and Senate president Abu Zahar Ujang.
