NINE RECITERS ON FIFTH DAY OF QURAN RECITAL ASSEMBLY
KUALA LUMPUR, July 21 (Bernama) -- Six male and three female partcipants recited verses from the Quran on the fifth day of the 53rd International Quran Reciters Assembly at Dewan Merdeka, Putra World Trade Centre here Wednesday night.
The male reciters were Abdel Bast Mohamed from Egypt, Mohammed Kassem Al-Qahtani (Qatar), Khalifa Musalem Al-Essae (Oman), Mogamad Zain Alexander (South Africa), Dr. Mochamet Rosdi Imam (Greece) and Saudi M. Gandisa (Philippines).
The female reciters comprised Oemmy Ly (Cambodia), Fatema Rohani
(Bangladesh) and Dayang Nurfaezah Emran (Brunei).
A total of 81 male and famale reciters from 50 countries are taking part in the assembly which started in July 16 and ends on Saturday (July 23).
