China invests 21 projects in Savannakhet
(KPL) The investment project from the Republic of China in Savannakhet has so far reached 21 projects, which is the second rank from Thailand. This statement was released by Savannakhet Governor Vilaivanh Phomkhe at the meeting with Chinese Ambassador Pan Quangxue.
The Chinese Ambassador and his delegation visited Savannakhet province on 8 September to boost the Chinese investment in Savannakhet province. At the talks, Governor of Savannakhet explained to the Chinese Ambassador and his delegation about the potentials for the social-economic development of his province. He said the Savannakhet has three main potentials for development including the agriculture and forestry, trade production and natural resources. He added that today the province has self-sufficient on foodstuff production and is able to generate income as planed by government.
On this occasion, Governor of Savannakhet also informed the Chinese Ambassador about the assistance from Chinese government to build the cultural hall of the province and asked the Chinese side to provide assistance in agriculture sector.
