POLAND READY TO OFFER MORE MEDICAL PLACES TO MALAYSIANS - SENATE PRESIDENT
KUALA LUMPUR, July 26 (Bernama) -- Poland is ready to offer more medical
places for Malaysians to study medicine in that country, said Senate president
Abu Zahar Ujang.
Speaking to reporters after receiving a courtesy call from Poland ambassador
to Malaysia, Adam Jelonek, at his office in Parliament building here today,
Abu Zahar said this was conveyed by Jelonek during their hour-long discussion.
Abu Zahar said currently hundreds of Malaysians were already pursuing their
studies in Poland in various fields.
"He (Jelonek) is also working at establishing closer bilateral ties in
education between Malaysia and Poland...so that Polish students can further
their studies at Malaysian universities," he said.
The ambassador was accompanied by Poland's deputy head of mission here,
Katarzyna Wilkowiecka.
Abu Zahar said the courtesy call would, among others, further enhance
relations between the two countries.
