‘Unemployment is cause of rise in Iran's crime rate’
TEHRAN, July 26 (MNA) – Iranian MP Hossein Naqavi of the Majlis(parliament) National Security and Foreign Policy Committee said on Monday that the closure of factories, youth unemployment, and high inflation have led to a rise in crime rate in the country.
He also said that the police cannot maintain security by itself and it is necessary that the government take appropriate political, cultural, and economic measures to resolve social problems which increase criminal tendencies.
