MATTA FAIR TO DRAW MORE THAN 90,000 VISITORS
KUALA LUMPUR, July 26 (Bernama) -- The Malaysian Association of Tour and
Travel Agents (MATTA) is targeting more than 90,000 visitors to its three-day
MATTA Fair at the Putra World Trade Centre (PWTC) from Aug 12 to 14.
Chairman of the organising team, John Tan said Matta was also targeting a
total sales of RM100 million (US$33.33 million) during the event.
"We encourage visitors travelling to the federal capital to attend the fair
with Keretapi Tanah Melayu Berhad (KTMB-Malaysia's main rail operator) which is
offering discounted fare," he told a news conference at KL Sentral here Tuesday.
KTMB Marketing Manager, Mohd Noordin Kimi said KTMB was offering a 25 per
cent discount to passengers using its Intercity service to visit the fair.
The discount valid from Aug 10-16, is for the fare of a minimum of two
passengers and the destination is only to KL Sentral.
