Iran beats Algeria in Junior World Handball Championship
TEHRAN, July 26 (MNA) -- Iran defeated Algeria in the Men’s Junior World Handball Championship on Monday.
The Iranian team beat Algeria 36-28 in the competition is now underway in Thessaloniki, Greece.
It is Iran’s third win in the competitions.The Asian team had already defeated Canada and Hungary and lost to Sweden, Spain and Portugal in the group stage.
“The powerful teams participate in the high level tournament. Iran is not well-prepared for the competition but we are here not to lose,” Iran handball coach Taghi Nari said before the competition started.
