Arab Parliament calls on Iran to end occupation of UAE Islands
The Arab Interim Parliament (AIP) has asked Iran to end its occupation of three UAE islands, Greater and Lesser Tunbs and Abu Musa.
In a resolution adopted at the end of the second session on Monday, the AIP strongly criticised also the recent Iranian action of constructing two offices on the Abu Musa Island.
The Resolution described Iran's arbitrary move as the flagrant violation of the UN conventions and the international law.
The Resolution said that the illegal construction of the two structures is a direct violation of the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the United Arab Emirates.
The AIP resolution also touched upon various other issues of Arab concern including the situations in Sudan and the Palestinian- Israeli peace negotiations.
