Smart Cities Conference to be organized in Makkah

Makkah, September 16, SPA -- Under the patronage of Prince Khalid
Al-Faisal bin Abdulaziz, Governor of Makkah Region, the Makkah
Municipality will organize 'Smart Cities Conference 2009' during the
period from 22 to 23 Muharram 1430H in cooperation with the Custodian
of the Two Holy Mosques Institute for Hajj Research, Makkah Mayor
Osama Al-Bar announced.

During a press conference, Al-Bar emphasized the care and attention
given by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin
Abdulaziz Al Saud and Crown Prince Sultan bin Abdulaziz Al Saud,
Deputy Premier, Minister of Defense and Aviation and Inspector
General, to the knowledge development, pointing out that holding such
conferences emanates from the government's keenness to develop
information technology sector in the Kingdom.
