NATIONAL ROAD RACING SQUAD TRAINING IN CHIANG MAI
KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 4 (Bernama) - The national road racing squad is undergoing 28 days training in Chiang Mai, Thailand as preparation for Indonesia SEA Games this November.
National Sports Council (NSC) elite branch director Arrifin Mohd Ghani said 33 athletes consisting elite, junior and several from Terengganu left for Chiang Mai on Monday (Aug 1).
"Our cyclists will not have a problem training during Ramadan because most of them are experienced.
"Moreover, we have sent nutrition officers from the National Sports
Institute (ISN) to Chiang Mai to oversee their diet during the stay," he told Bernama here Thursday.
Arrifin said NSC and Malaysian National Cycling Federation (MNCF) chose Ching Mai as training venue as the roads and terrain are similar to that in Indonesia.
