MATRADE’S PROFESSIONAL SERVICES EVENT BRINGS LOCAL & SAUDI COMPANIES TOGETHER

KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 5 (Bernama) -- The Malaysia Services Exhibition (MSE) 2011 in the United Arab Emirates in April this year, resulted in the coming together of a local engineering company and a Saudi Arabian distributor in an agency agreement.

Power Quality Engineering Sdn Bhd (PQE) signed an agency agreement with Afaq Power and Telecommunication Co (APTCO) on July 29 in Kuala Lumpur after initial exploratory discussions held during the four-day MSE 2011 event.

The agency agreement is for APTCO to market PQE’s product in Saudi Arabia.

PQE is an electrical engineering consultancy specialising in power
quality and energy management.

"The commencement of the partnership between PQE and APTCO is the result of a planned and concerted programme to bring Malaysian companies to the Middle East," said the Malaysia External Trade Development Corporation's (MATRADE) deputy chief executive officer, Mohamad Kamarudin Hassan, in a statement Friday.

"Through the MSE event as well as other initiatives, MATRADE has created an effective platform for PQE and other Malaysian professional services enterprises to make their presence known in the Middle East.

"Moreover, MATRADE’s swift support for this agreement, underlines its reputation for providing real-time assistance to the actual market needs of interested foreign buyers as well as cementing its commitment in assisting Malaysian entities in going global," he added.

The MSE is MATRADE's annual event to promote Malaysia’s professional services sector to Middle Eastern businesses and is held annually in Abu Dhabi.
