TEHRAN, Aug. 6 (MNA) – The speaker of the United Arab Emirates' Federal National Council says Palestine is the most important issue of the Islamic world and should not be allowed to pass into oblivion under the influence of regional developments.
In a telephone conversation on Wednesday, Abdul Aziz Abdullah Al Ghurair congratulated Iranian Majlis Speaker Ali Larijani on the arrival of the holy month of Ramadan and discussed regional developments with him.
“Major developments are occurring in the region, but we should not allow the issue of Palestine to fade into oblivion under the shadow of the regional developments,” Al Ghurair said, adding, “Our major battle is the battle of Palestine.”
Al Ghurair also appreciated the initiative launched by the Iranian parliament on holding the 5th international conference in support of Palestinian Intifada which is scheduled to be held in Tehran in early October.
Ali Larijani also congratulated the speaker of the UAE Federal National Council on the arrival of Ramadan, appreciated his phone call and invited him to attend the upcoming conference.
