Russian officials to attend Iran's Bushehr plant launch ceremony

TEHRAN, Aug. 7 (MNA) -- Russian Energy Minister Sergei Shmatko and Russian State Atomic Energy Corporation (Rosatom) Director General Sergei Kirienko will attend the inauguration ceremony of the Bushehr nuclear power plant, Tehran’s Ambassador to Moscow Mahmoud-Reza Sajjadi announced on Saturday.

On June 26, Iranian Foreign Minister Ali Akbar Salehi announced that the plant will be connected to the national grid late August.
